Celia
Gregson
completed
a Wellcome
Trust Clinical
Research
Training
Fellowship
which included
a one year
full-time
MSc in
epidemiology
at the
London
School
of Hygiene
and Tropical
Medicine
(LSHTM)
followed
by a PhD
at the
University
of Bristol.
She currently
works as
a Senior
Scientist
at the
MRC Lifecourse
Epidemiology
Unit at
the University
of Southampton
and as
a consultant
orthogeriatrician
at the
Royal United
Hospital
in Bath.
In 2013
she will
take up
an Arthritis
Research
UK clinician
scientist
fellowship
at the
University
of Bristol.
Her research
interests
include
high bone
mass, genetic
epidemiology
of bone
disease,
body composition
and bone.
Celia
is a member
of a number
of societies
including
the BRS,
ECTS, ASBMR,
BGS, IEA
and BMA.
As the
young investigator
representative
for clinical
bone research,
Celia is
keen to
promote
the profile
of clinical
bone research
and epidemiology
amongst
doctors
in training
and health
care professionals.
She is
particularly
keen to
encourage
clinical
research
within
the older
population.
She is
open to
ideas and
very happy
to be contacted.
