Southampton lies on the south coast of England on the edge of the New Forest. The city is well served by transport to the rest of the United Kingdom. It is located at the junction of the M3 and M27 Motorways which link it with London and the West Country. It has its own international airport close to the city centre and is served by a train service to London at 15 minute intervals. It has a busy deep water port and has long been the destination and departure point for ocean-going cruise liners. Southampton is a city of many exciting activities, and it has been around for much longer than you might think with its history predating the arrival of the Romans:
