Eligibility criteria
BRS New Investigator Award and Best Presentation Award applicants must be:

  • A member of BRS at the time of applying
  • Within 3 years of attainment of higher degree or completion of specialist training
  • A presenting author (oral or poster) at BRS meeting

New Investigator Awards
For the top scoring abstracts from eligible authors.
Award - Registration, accommodation fees and travelling expenses.

Best Presentation Awards
Presentations will be judged during the meeting and prizes will be awarded as follows:

  • Best oral
  • Best oral poster
  • Best poster

1 clinical, 1 non-clinical in each case.
Award - £50 Amazon voucher.

Bursaries 
The Society also offers bursaries of up to £100 towards the cost of attending the meeting to BRS members submitting abstracts.

  • A presenting author (oral or poster) at BORS meeting
  • For the New Investigator Award – as above plus must be before end of first post-doc position and/or pre consultant level

ASBMR Travel Grants New!

The BRS and BORS are delighted to announce that ASBMR has generously offered two travel grants of up to $1500 for Young Investigator ASBMR members residing outside of the UK to attend the Oxford meeting. The awards will be judged on the quality/score of abstracts submitted by first and presenting authors, the deadline for which is 10 May 2013.

BRS/BORS are grateful to ASBMR for their generous support.
