Welcome

It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 2014 Bone Research Society meeting in Sheffield, Yorkshire (voted Europe’s Leading Destination 2013 in the World Travel Awards*).

We anticipate that the science presented at the meeting will be enlightening, informative and stimulating for both clinical and non-clinical scientists. Our keynote speakers will be of international standing, delivering the most up-to-date and exciting research in their fields.

For clinicians, there will be updates on new treatments as well as a short series of clinical cases. The meeting is fully approved for CPD by the Royal College of Physicians.

A key component of the meeting will be the extensive opportunities for informal discussion and for poster viewing, and we warmly invite you to submit your abstracts for both oral and poster presentation.

*Yes, you read it here first, Yorkshire was voted Europe’s Leading Destination 2013 in the World Travel Awards, beating off competition from Barcelona, Berlin, Edinburgh, Florence, to name just a few.  Not only that but the county was voted top three region in the world in the Lonely Planet Awards for 2014!  Click here to see why.  The 2014 BRS meeting will take place at The Edge, a delightful University of Sheffield campus with accommodation and meeting rooms within a few metres of each other.  Sheffield is easily reached by road and rail, and also from outside the UK through Manchester and other airports.

We hope that you will come and join us for what promises to be a stimulating and informative meeting.  We look forward to welcoming you to Sheffield (and Yorkshire!).

Best wishes
